چکیده

Background: Acute coronary syndrome (ACS) is the leading cardiovascular (CV) cause of mortality. C reactive protein (CRP) has linked with long-term risk recurrent events or death. Albumin, in contrast to CRP known as a negative acute-phase protein. Thus newly introduced marker assessed relation albumin ratio (CAR), which may provide better results than use either alone. The aim study assess association C-reactive (CAR) in-hospital short-term major adverse cardiac (MACEs) acute patients. Patients & Methods: A multi-centers prospective cohort was conducted at intensive care units (CICU) Baghdad during period from March October 2021 that included total 132 patients who were diagnosed case ACS. They for like cardiogenic shock, arrhythmias, post-MI angina, and heart failure while inside ward, addition need early interventional therapeutic approach immediately time admission hospital. Results: High values CAR, whether using hs-CRP CRP, identified an independent predictor MACEs (P value < 0.001 0.002 respectively. cut-off CAR (using hs-CRP) 3.18 mg/L context discrimination between medically treated ACS death outcome term high CAR. CRP) 9.13 suggests usefulness managed patients, presentation. had positive significant correlation hospital stay (r = 0.210, P 0.036). Conclusion: independently correlated can be used stratification

Prognostic value of C-Reactive Protein in Acute Coronary Syndromes

Introduction: Coronary artery disease (CAD) is among the most common, serious, chronic and life- threatening illnesses in the world. CAD represents a spectrum of conditions, with acute myocardial infarction at one end of it and silent ischemia at the other. There is growing evidence on importance of prognosis of C- reactive protein (CPR) in unstable angina and this protein is a maker of an adve...

C-reactive Protein as a Predictor of Adverse outcome in Patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES The acute-phase reactant C-reactive protein (CRP) has been shown to reflect systemic and vascular inflammation and to predict future cardiovascular events. The objective of this study was to evaluate the prognostic value of CRP in predicting cardiovascular outcome in patients presenting with acute coronary syndromes. PATIENTS AND METHODS This prospective, single-cent...
